AI Brand Video Review: A Quality Checklist Before Approving an Ad

An impressive AI shot may still need repair before representing your product. Review the details customers rely on to understand the ad.

Start with an approved product and message reference

Prepare approved product photos from important angles, the logo file, brand colours, correct packaging text and the intended message. Establish whether the scene depicts real use or an imaginative visual concept. References help reveal changes but do not remove the need to review every shot in the final version.

For an exact usage demonstration or proof of a product property, consider filming that part and adding creative elements around it. Do not present generated footage as evidence of a customer experience or result that never happened. To decide whether the approach suits the project, read AI video production for brands.

Image and motion checks

  • Product consistency: shape, proportions, colour and label remain stable across frames.
  • Brand identity: approved logos and text are accurate, visible and legible.
  • Interaction: hands and tools do not merge into the product, and use or opening actions make sense.
  • Continuity: lighting, shadows, reflections and cuts do not create confusing changes.
  • Accuracy: the image does not imply a function, size or outcome different from the real product.
  • Placement: essential text and details survive the required framing and crop.

Review image, audio and wording together

Watch once at normal speed, then pause at important moments. Check brand pronunciation, lip synchronisation where relevant, captions, music level and the call to action. Individually acceptable elements can combine into a visual and spoken promise the company never intended.

Classify feedback: publication blockers such as altered product identity or unsupported claims; definite fixes such as text outside the frame; and optional improvements such as a preferred pacing change. Attach a timestamp and intended correction to each note. Avoid turning several stakeholders' preferences into contradictory instructions.

A hypothetical repair decision

Assume a package looks attractive under moving light, but its logo changes midway through the shot. Do not approve it solely because the opening frame looks excellent. Options might include regenerating, compositing an approved product asset, or filming an alternative within scope. These are possible production choices requiring testing, not universal repair promises.

Adobe's Firefly documentation describes using an image as a video reference and reviewing generated output. A reference is a tool, not a substitute for final approval. Technical reference: https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/web/unified-generation-and-editing-experience/generate-and-edit-content.html . Do not assume identical controls across models or subscriptions.

Keep an approval and delivery record

Retain the approved version, the provenance of assets the team is permitted to use, final wording and repair notes. Define channels, versions and ratios before export, and check each platform's requirements for generated content at publication. Creative approval does not automatically establish platform ad approval; track that review separately.

FAQ

Does a reference image guarantee product consistency?

No. It can guide output depending on the tool, but the whole video still needs review for product, text and motion consistency. Approving the first frame is insufficient.

Can an AI video be a customer testimonial?

Do not present it as a person's real experience if that experience did not happen. Creative representation must not invent a product experience or result.

When should we film instead of generating?

When exact detail, real usage or actual evidence is essential, consider filming or a hybrid approach. Choose according to the message, accuracy needs and scope.
